Cersaie 2021

One of the most eagerly-awaited editions.

One of the most eagerly-awaited editions.

The International Exhibition of Ceramic tile and Bathroom furnishings, which opens its doors on 27 September in Bologna, has never been so eagerly-awaited.

The long lockdowns have not stopped progresses in architecture and design, bringing new energy, ideas and reflections to spaces and the role of interiors and urban planning.

That’s why we are expecting new visions and exciting innovations from Cersaie 2021.

These reflections, precisely during the first lockdown, have overcome restrictions and lockdowns to reach all the public interested in Cersaie, starting with the many Architects that have joined the “Small Talks” series of virtual conversations, transforming their studios and houses into breeding grounds of ideas and shared projects.

It’s an experience that will be restored and renewed at Cersaie 2021 with “Small Talks reloaded – Viaggiare come studiare” together with the featured architects of the project for an open discussion on the theme of “Travelling Again”. The appointment is on 30 September at 15.00 at the Bologna Trade Fair Conference Hall.

This Cersaie 2021 is tinged precisely with this sense of opening, innovation and development, expressed in the new Visual concept that uses a cube, a distinctive element of the Exhibition, which opens into three-dimensional modules that generate a series of pixels scattered with a burst of energy into the air, suggesting the possibility of infinite new scenarios.

This «visual representation of the new OPEN concept which for this edition of Cersaie is combined with EVOLUTION, highlights once more the inclination and wish to capture stimuli and to develop them into new possibilities».

There are, in fact, lots of stimuli offered by the Cersaie 2021 events programme, from the “Costruire, abitare, pensare” conferences to the “Press Cafés” meetings, from the “Città della posa” technical seminars for sector workers, to the free advice for the public with “Disegna la tua casa”, to which are added this year also numerous online events for those who are unable to attend the show.

The meeting dedicated to “Superbonus and incentives for ceramics and bathrooms”, on Thursday 30 September at 16.30 at the Media Agorà, to deepen the knowledge of the topic and potential developments with the public, administrators, designers and constructors is also eagerly awaited, in anticipation of the next finance bill, which is expected to extend the incentives to 2023.

The Lectio Magistralis of Cersaie 2021 will be given by the Japanese architect Shigeru Ban, Pritzker 2014 prize-winner, on Friday 1 October at 11.00 at the Conference Hall, introduced by Professor Francesco Dal Co, architecture historian.

The most important event, however, is the personal experience that each visitor will have at Cersaie.
