Alcova
the space for emerging design

Alcova is the Fuorisalone's avant-garde exhibition dedicated to independent and experimental design. A travelling platform in ephemeral and unconventional spaces that are always cool! Recognised as ‘the space for emerging design’.

This year the Alcova Design District, as christened by the New York Times T Magazine and Wallpaper Magazine, moves to Varedo, from 7 to 13 April.

Among the experimental design installations
at Villa Bagatti Valsecchi

FAP Ceramiche presents at Alcova the installation entitled Frozen Forest, an immersive and enthralling experience in which unprecedented mirrored ceramic surfaces become a filter between reality and reflection, bringing physical and virtual space into dialogue.

The objective, ambitious and intriguing at the same time, is to harness the decadent charm of Villa Bagatti Valsecchi, an authentic jewel of residential architecture, to bring it inside the installation through games of reflection.

A site-specific intervention in which a unique and unprecedented product will take the form of a Frozen Forest, in dialogue with the space that hosts it, its atmosphere and its light. An experience to be lived.

A location
fascinating and evocative

Once again this year, Alcova confirms the splendid Villa Bagatti Valsecchi as an exceptional location for the Fuorisalone in Milan. This majestic historic residence, immersed in a vast park, represents one of the most fascinating examples of Lombard neoclassical architecture. Built in the 19th century by the noble Bagatti Valsecchi family, the villa still retains its elegant original layout, with refined decorations, frescoed ceilings and a structure that harmoniously blends art and nature.

An unprecedented
exhibition space

During Alcova, the rooms of the villa are transformed into an unprecedented exhibition space, where the charm of the past dialogues with the most innovative visions of contemporary design. Visitors have the opportunity to explore rooms rich in history, rediscovering the atmosphere of a bygone era while interacting with installations and projects that redefine the concept of living and experiencing space.
