Villa Montmorency: luxury interior design meets FAP’s contemporary surfaces

Architectural renovation and luxury interior design project in the municipality of Montmorency

Architecture and luxury furnishings...
visual storytelling, its inspiration
nourished by art and aesthetic originality.

Montmorency is a French town in the Val-d'Oise, a department in the Île-de-France region to the north of Paris, which stands in beautiful natural surroundings.
Vincent Van Gogh is buried near here, together with his brother Theo, in the village of Auvers-sur-Oise, where his last home, the Maison de Van Gogh, still stands.
In addition, as well as its castles and abbeys, the same region also contains the Maison Impressionniste de Claude Monet, the immersive museum at Argenteuil dedicated to the painter’s life and work.

Villa Montmorency, a private home now restored to renewed splendour, stands in this wonderful setting.

The renovation of the interior and exterior architecture and the interior design were handled by Studio Caméléon Design, which chose the FAP collections for the delicate task of interpreting and beautifying the interiors with elegance, tactile appeal and a distinctive contemporary aesthetic.

The Studio Caméléon Design team of architects, interior designers, decorators, graphic designers and project managers provided the clients with a 3D immersive experience enabling them to “step inside” their future home in advance, walking through its rooms and savouring every detail, even before Villa Montmorency took shape in reality.

As a result of this experience, more than 95% of the choices made were approved at the first meeting.

FAP’s tactile, vibrant surfaces restyle the identity of a luxury villa

Studio Caméléon’s project transforms the clients’ ideal villa into tangible reality: a tailor-made home with a strong personality, defined by daring geometrical forms, luxury furnishings and dramatic openings that magnify light and volumes.

An ample interior in contemporary style that combines a luxury furnishing aesthetic with functional furnishing, ready and waiting to tell fresh stories.

Studio Caméléon made masterly use of the technical and aesthetic qualities of FAP ceramics, fully exploiting the potential of surfaces chosen for their technical versatility and ability to bestow personality and emotional power on interiors.

Luxury interior design: the role of ceramic surfaces

Villa Montmorency’s architecture and luxury interior design project joined forces with the striking FAP MAXXI OXIDE, SHEER, BLOOM STAR and COLOR NOW ceramics.
These surfaces were used in combination to create tasteful, tactile, vibrant interiors in various parts of the home, for a total of 220 square metres.

They were applied as coverings in the bathrooms, on the fireplace, in the entrance porch and in the bedroom, in a contemporary, industrial style.
The ceramics help to define a forceful yet balanced identity, blending elegance and originality.

FAP MAXXI surfaces: striking ceramics for luxury interiors

FAP MAXXI is a ceramic project with considerable scope: stoneware slabs of 120 x 278 cm, ideal for architectural use and bespoke furnishings.

Eye-catching surfaces in a thickness of just 6 mm that redefine space, providing visual continuity and unlimited creative freedom with minimal joints.

An excellent solution for anyone seeking tactile appeal, beauty and convenience in a single surface.

The Villa Montmorency project also showcased the versatility and rich aesthetic and tactile allure of FAP MAXXI, available in different styles, finishes and effects from glossy and satiny marble to rusted metal surfaces, and from onyx stoneware to resin-effect surfaces: a wide range of colours and an amazing assortment of decors, from floral to jungle by way of geometrical-architectural.

The beauty of OXIDE metal-effect tiles

The interior design made lavish use of FAP MAXXI OXIDE metal-effect tiles in matt R9 finish.
In the bathrooms and shower zone, to decorate the bedhead, the stairwell handrail, the fireplace wall in the living area and the entrance to the Villa, on which OXIDE confers a sophisticated industrial appeal.

The OXIDE Corten and OXIDE Rust slabs were also used in the bathrooms, providing a raw chic touch while also ensuring the guaranteed durability and performance that these locations demand.
OXIDE returns in the more delicate, relaxing White and Grey shades in the bedrooms, to generate harmony and restful tranquillity.

The tactile purity of SHEER and BLOOM Star

The bathrooms also feature the tactile, highly decorative surfaces of SHEER and BLOOM, collections of 3D white-body tiles in 80 x 160 size.
The variants selected for Villa Montmorency were SHEER Dune, SHEER Stick White and BLOOM Star Beige, all with curvy and geometrical patterns that bring vitality to the walls with an exceptionally tactile and above all original elegance, harmonising perfectly with the SHEER Beige 80 x 80 porcelain stoneware tiles in matt R10 finish chosen for the floor covering.

Tradition and innovation: the design identity of FAP Ceramiche

Villa Montmorency once again testifies to FAP Ceramiche’s commitment to supporting professionals in design projects by providing quality solutions that combine the best Made-in-Italy ceramics tradition with innovation and contemporary design.
