Traditional Italian ceramics, with their hand-crafted allure and vintage appeal, are back in the spotlight at Maison&Objet Asia
, the international exhibition set to be held in Singapore from 10 to 13 March 2015, in the form of the Firenze
collections by FAP ceramiche.
These new lines will be seeking to win over visitors to the Asian exhibition with their distinctive mood, the fruit of top-flight ceramic experimentation and design, inspired by the recovery of old materials and with a minimalist, contemporary edge. Terra
is a collection of rectified porcelain stoneware floor tiles that takes its inspiration from simple, natural, unprocessed material and is available in 6 shades - caffè, cotto, siena, antracite, malta and avorio – in which sophisticated retro appeal takes on a more contemporary slant. The tiles come in several different sizes - 30x60, 60x60 and 75x75 – with a Matt or Silk finish, making them sensationally soft to the touch, and are embellished with in-line decorations with a striking aged effect. Firenze
brings all the charm of traditional Tuscan farmhouses back to life in its porcelain stoneware tiles, available in 6 shades - cuoio, dorato, tabacco, bianco, grigio and nero – and a single hexagonal shape featuring the colours and patterns of traditional decorated floors, while Boston
marks a return to the urban style of days gone by, with its metropolitan yet hand-crafted allure coming in 6 shades - argilla, cemento, gesso, lavagna, petrolio and sabbia – and a brand-new 7.5x30 size designed to bring an aged look to settings with its Matt surface.
